Recreation Ministry exists to develop and grow followers of Jesus through various avenues of recreation, group fitness, and family activities. Its overall goal is to strengthen, connect, and point the community locally, nationally, and globally towards Jesus Christ.

The Lakewood Ministry Center is a great place to host a birthday party, team practice, or event! You can do so by clicking on the Ministry Center Usage Request Form, fill it out, and someone from the Recreation Ministry staff will respond to your request. We look forward to helping you host your next event.

Open to boys and girls Kindergarten – 5th grade.
Every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M., there will be pickleball in the Ministry Center. We have 6 courts for play. Free to the public and open to all!
Monday – Thursday at 5:30-6:30 AM, meet at Ministry Center.

Basketball registration is open now!
Divisions are typically split as such:
Division 4 (5 years old), Division 3 (6-7years old), Division 2 (8-9 years old), Division 1 (10-12 years old). DATES: Practice start date: Week of November 10th. You will practice once a week on either Monday or Thursday.
Games Dates: 12/5, 12/12, 12/19, 1/9, 1/16, 1/23, 1/30
PRICE Early Registration: $100 (Ends September 21st) Registration: $130 (Ends October 28th).
There will be no Evaluations this year! We have seen in the past that even with evaluations it does not necessarily create fair teams. Without evaluations we will be able to add an extra week of practice.
Our program relies on parents to coach the teams. We ask that you please consider coaching your child/children. Coaches who sign up to coach while registering their child/children will receive a discount. Please email me for the coaches discount code. tvandemark@lakewoodlife.org

These are opportunities to get out and enjoy God's creation, play a new game, enjoy fellowship with others, challenge ourselves, and in all those opportunities reach others with the gospel.
When: Saturday, September 26 at 9:00 A.M.
Where: The race will begin in front of the Ministry Center at Lakewood Baptist
Cost: The race entry fee will be $20 and will include t-shirts for everyone and medals for the top 3 in each division.
This will be a road race 5K Run or Walk and all ages and stages are welcome. There will be three divisions. We will have 20 and under, 21-49, and then 50 and over! Come on out and enjoy a morning run or walk and bring some friends. Please register before Sept. 20th to insure shirt size.
