In worship, we journey together as a family to encounter God. We assemble as a family. We listen obediently to God. We respond wholeheartedly to what we have heard, and we go into the world joining the story of God as ministers of reconciliation.

Lakewood Worship Objectives
Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I wasn’t even aware of it!” (Genesis 28:16)
Our priority in worship is to minister to God through a lifestyle of obedience to His word and through assembling on Sundays while facilitating the Church’s ministry to God.
“And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.” (Hebrews 10:25)
With God’s Spirit and power, come to each service ready to worship God with all our heart, soul and mind.
“You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.’ And, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.” (Luke 10:27)
It is our responsibility to perform our ministry with the attitude of Christ.
“You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being.” (Philippians 2:5)
As ministers of reconciliation, we will declare what God has done, is doing and will do in the hearts of all who come into His presence.
“And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him. For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.” (2 Corinthians 5:18-19)
Lead people into the life-changing presence of God through our example of worship and praise.
“Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.” (Revelation 3:20)
