Bible Reading and Prayer
Bible Reading and Prayer
We believe that it’s important to spend time daily in prayer and in God’s Word and we want to help you do that. Below you will find several Bible Reading Plans and some opportunities to join with the Lakewood community in Prayer.
2026 Bible Reading Plan
Our 2026 Bible Reading Plan is designed to help you prepare for each Sunday’s sermon. We’ll read the full passage on Mondays and Fridays, and walk through smaller sections on the days in between.
Sign up for daily text reminders from Lakewood with a link to a reading from the Bible for each day. Texts come at 6:15 AM Monday through Friday.

“The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops” (James 5:16-18).
