At Lakewood, we gather together throughout the week in both large and small groups, but our largest gatherings take place on Sundays and Wednesdays.

Sundays 9:30AM & 11:00AM
Wednesdays 6:00PM

2235 Thompson Bridge Rd
Gainesville, GA 30501

We invite anyone and everyone to attend our Sunday gatherings as we celebrate God in song, scripture, Lord's Supper and prayer.

What are the Sunday morning service times?

We have two distinctly different Sunday morning worship environments every week. The sermon is the same in each, but the location and music are different.

Traditional Style Worship | 9:30am | ONLINE | More Info

Our Crosspoint service takes place in the Chapel. We sing hymns in this service and enjoy hearing from Lakewood’s Choir.

Contemporary Style Worship | 11am | ONLINEMore Info

The Real Life service takes place in our Worship Center. A combination of modern hymns and praise and worship music are led by our Lakewood Worship team.

What do I wear?

At Lakewood, you will find a variety of dress styles. There are many people who like to dress up, and there are many who like to be more casual in their dress. You will see nice suits all the way to jeans. So, we would encourage you to dress as you are used to in other churches or whatever makes you comfortable.

Where do I park?

We have plenty of places to park, and we have signs at each of our entrances with directions to our venues and buildings around campus, so you can make sure you’re in the right place. We have handicap parking, visitor parking, senior adult parking (SAP), and First Impressions Volunteers on golf carts driving around, if you need a lift to and from your vehicle on Sundays.

What do I do when I get there?

You will be welcomed at the doors by Greeters, feel free to ask directions or where the Information Centers are located. There you will receive a welcome gift and information pertinent for you and your family. You can also get assistance finding the service or class you want to attend. Welcome to Lakewood!

Where do I take my kids?

Lakewood Kids Ministry, welcomes kids of all ages throughout the year, and focuses on teaching Bible truths, concepts and stories. For more info on specific times and locations for each age group:

Where do students go? (6th - 12th Grade)

Lakewood Student Ministry exists to help students live for God, love the church and lead others to Christ. On Sunday mornings, we meet in groups from 9:30-10:45 AM in The Lodge. Students are divided by grade and gender and meet with adult leaders to connect deeper with God and one another through Bible study, prayer and fellowship.

How do I get plugged in to the church?

We regularly offer our Discover Class led by our Senior Pastor, Dr. Tyler Smiley, for anyone that is interested in learning about who we are and where we are going as a church. In Discover Class, we provide free lunch and childcare, and you will learn our vision, core values, beliefs, and structure. At the end of class, you will be given the opportunity to become a member of Lakewood.

How do I join a Sunday morning small group or bible study?

There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in a Sunday morning group, and they meet all across our campus at the following times:

  • 8:15 AM
  • 9:30 AM
  • 11:00 AM

Wednesday Night Activities for all ages

Lakewood Kids Ministry meets on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:30 (check-in begins at 5:45). All Preschool and Grade School Kids are invited to join us.

Students (6th - 12th Grade)

On Wednesday evenings throughout the school year, Lakewood Students gather from 6:30-8:00 PM for a worship experience with a live band (led by students and adults) and relevant teaching from God’s Word by one of our student ministry staff. After the message, students meet in small groups (by grade and gender) with adult leaders to discuss and apply the message they just heard.

Lodge doors open for all students at 5:30 PM to hang out with friends, play games, or eat in our Lodge Cafe. At 6:30 PM, middle school students will worship together in the Upper Lodge Auditorium while high school students will worship together in the Lower Lodge Auditorium. At 7:30 PM, students gather in small groups.
