ESL
Mission: ESL (English as a Second Language) offers instructional language and communication classes for students whose primary language is not English. Classes that range from introductory to more advanced welcome members of the community into our church to experience the love of Christ through learning English.

ADOPTION AND FOSTER CARE MINISTRY
Mission: The Adoption & Foster Care Ministry presents a comprehensive, biblically-rooted view of adoption, orphan care and foster care—founded upon the principle that God created and ordained adoption for the accomplishment of His purpose.
CELEBRATE RECOVERY INSIDE
Mission: Celebrate Recovery Inside is a Christ-centered 12-step recovery program for our local men and women’s prisons.
Ways to Serve:
- Men – Help facilitate groups on Sunday mornings at Hall County Correctional Institute
- Women – Be a pen pal for CRI participant at Lee Arrendale State Prison
- Women – Visit one of our CRI participants at Lee Arrendale State Prison
WOMEN ON MISSION
Mission: Women on Mission prays for our missionaries, learns about their ministries and serves our community.
Ways to Serve:
- Collect food and other supplies for the Good Samaritan food pantry.
- Write cards to the homebound members of Lakewood.
- Provide book bags and sponsorship for children attending Camp Hope.
BENEVOLENCE
Mission: Lakewood’s Benevolence Ministry exists to encourage and assist those with physical needs during times of crisis.

TINY STITCHES
Mission: Tiny Stitches provides basic layettes containing clothing and other items to disadvantaged newborns and preemies in North Georgia.
Ways to Serve:
- Join in sewing, knitting, and crocheting clothing.
- Learn from members who are experienced in these areas to develop your skills.
BARNABAS HOUSE
Mission: Barnabas House exists to encourage furloughed missionaries by providing housing and respite for the duration of their furlow.
DISASTER RELIEF
Mission: Disaster Relief supports families in need after a natural disaster giving short-term hope through hands-on efforts and eternal hope in Jesus.
The Retreat At Long Mountain
Mission: The Retreat at Long Mountain assists Lakewood Baptist Church in fulfilling its vision of being a regional church that raises up fully devoted followers of Christ who are trained and equipped to reach and love lost people personally, locally and globally.
Seasonal
Operation Christmas Child
Mission: Operation Christmas Child demonstrates God’s love in a tangible way to children in need by delivering gift-filled shoeboxes around the world. Through this project, Lakewood partners with Samaritan’s Purse to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples of the nations.
Thanksgiving Box Outreach
Mission: The Thanksgiving Box Outreach annually gathers Lakewood volunteers to show the love of Christ by packing and sending out hundreds of boxes with complete Thanksgiving meals to local families in need.
