What is Gather?
Our Young Adults ministry is for college students and young professionals in the Northeast Georgia region, to connect with each other in an authentic community. Our goal is to stir one another up in love and good deeds for Christ.

College-Age Community Groups in the North GA Region
Community Groups
Community groups are the heartbeat behind this community. Each group meets once a week in a home or at the church. These groups include guided discussions that typically go along with the sermon series that Lakewood is going through at the time, but occasionally a group will decide to break off and do their own study of a particular book or topic. These groups are usually led by either a Lakewood staff member or an older “upstream” couple. We also periodically plan social events to have fun!

How can we serve?
Our groups takes part in local mission opportunities. To get involved in some mission opportunities, check out our community groups.
Mission Trip to Zagreb, Croatia – All believers are called to share the Good News to all nations. This annual trip (usually in the Spring) consists of sharing the Gospel with Croatian college students on their campuses and supporting local churches and outreach ministries. We will have more details on how to sign up for this mission trip in the coming months!
Serving at Lakewood – Serving at Lakewood – We highly encourage all Gather members to serve in various ministries at Lakewood. Many of our Young Adults currently serve in our Kids, Special Needs, Student, Womens, and Worship Ministries.
