Bible Reading and Prayer
Bible Reading and Prayer
We believe that it’s important to spend time daily in prayer and in God’s Word and we want to help you do that. Below you will find several Bible Reading Plans and some opportunities to join with the Lakewood community in Prayer.
Prayer
Our desire is for Lakewood to be a “house of prayer.” Would you prayerfully consider participating in our 24/7 Prayer Emphasis? Use the link below to select a time slot that you will pray for Lakewood as the Holy Spirit leads you.
If you would like to receive Lakewood’s twice a week prayer requests email, please let Emily Lavender know by sending her an email. (Email her using the link below.)
“The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops” (James 5:16-18).
2024 Bible Reading Plan
On January 1, 2024 we began a reading plan through the New Testament. This plan takes us chronologically through the entire New Testament in 2024. On Fridays we will read Sunday’s sermon text.
Sign up for daily text reminders from Lakewood with a link to a reading from the Bible for each day. To sign up, text @LBCBible24 to 81010. Texts come at 6:15 AM Monday through Friday.
