The Retreat at Long Mountain is dedicated to Jesus’s command to “go unto all the world.” The Retreat is an ideal setting for missions teams to plan their upcoming trip or debrief previous trips. The Retreat offers reduced rates to missionary families who are stateside on furlough in order to help then relax, recharge, and get ready to return to the field.

What is the Retreat?
Our newly renovated 5,000 square-foot Lodge will provide sleeping accommodations for over 20 people, inside dining and meeting space for 75. The adjacent 6,000 square foot elevated patio offers spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and outdoor dining for up 300 people. Our large kitchen will provide ample space for food preparation and is located next to caterer’s entrance. Outside we have a 2,500 square foot covered area to provide options during inclimate weather.
We have over 40 acres of grassy meadows that allows for a large variety of outdoor activities including a disk golf course and volleyball court. The retreat has over 4 miles of established trails for hiking and mountain biking including a ¾ mile trail to the top of Long Mountain for spectacular views of the southern Blue Ridge Mountains.
Nearby attractions include the tourist destinations of historic Dahlonega and alpine Helen. There are 3 Georgia state parks with a 30 minute drive of the Retreat along with numerous locations for hiking, fishing, white water canoeing, and tubing.
