The CS Lewis book club meets once a quarter for enjoyable discussions designed to stretch and enrich our faith. We will focus on works by CS Lewis and as well as other authors featured in the Lakewood Library. This basic intro to Lakewood is designed to help you discover who we are and where we are going as a church. Dr. Smiley leads this class where you will learn about our vision, core values, beliefs, and structure. At the end of class, you will be given the opportunity to complete the membership process. Men of Lakewood will gather the first Wednesday morning of each month in the Fellowship Hall at 6:15 AM to study God's Word.

Community Group in Gainesville for young adults out of college working that meet on Tuesday evenings at 7:00pm a group member's house off Riverside Dr.

Community Group that meets weekly on Mondays at 6:30pm @ the Lodge. Join us for fellowship and group discussion.

For students who have just graduated and now are in college OR those who are out of school and in the working field.

Our senior adults are a group that love Christ, pray for one another, listen to the needs of others, love God's church, serve Him, and have fun and fellowship together.

At Lakewood our ministry to senior adults continues to grow and develop and has a bright future. Without the involvement of our senior adults in ministry, there would be many holes and large shoes to fill. Our senior adults are investing in the life and ministry of our church, everything from changing diapers in the nursery to visiting with the sick and home-bound. They are involved in missions, evangelism, and discipleship. They make unique contributions to our fellowship. As our population changes and there are more and more senior adults, our ministry will certainly look to grow and increase.

Our monthly meeting is held on the 4th Tuesday at 12:00 Noon in the Fellowship Hall. Each month we enjoy a covered dish meal and a wonderful and inspirational program.

Sunday Morning 11:00 a.m. group for any age and stage. This group meets in Room 113-114. Third Sunday each month set aside for serving somewhere in the church, so no class meetings those days.

This is a bilingual Sunday morning group that meets during the 9:30 hour in room 121.

This is a multigenerational age and any stage of life group that dives into the Word of God following our weekly preaching schedule, as well as provide a weekly highlight of Lakewood's mission of making disciples locally, nationally, and globally. This group meets at 9:30 in Room 113-114.

At DivorceCare, you will become part of a small support group of people who are also experiencing separation and divorce. You'll meet others who understand what you are feeling and who will be able to offer you encouragement. You'll also have a chance to talk about the information presented during the DivorceCare seminar.

In this inductive Bible study on the first book of Samuel, we explore the Israelites transition from judges to kings through the experiences and perspective of the prophet Samuel. Explore the story of Samuel's birth and the precious way God calls him into ministry. Witness Israel's request for a King and their rejection of God as King. Dive into the stories of kings Saul and David. Trace the journey of the ark of the covenant from capture to restoration.

Take a journey through the scriptures with the Apostle John, an eyewitness to the life of Jesus Christ. John walked with Jesus on earth so it's no wonder that he steps up to the plate when deceivers try to weave a story to lead believers away from the truth. In this Bible study on I John and 2 & 3 John, we will explore questions like, "How do you know if you're really born again?" "What does it mean to be holy?" "What does it mean to love God?" "How do you know the truth?" "How do you stay confident in the truth that you have learned and loved?" Find answers to these and other questions as you take an in-depth look at several fundamentals of Christian beliefs.

Come along with biblical culturalist Kristi McLelland as she unpacks the life of the early church in the book of Acts and see how God's Word can sustain us even in the most difficult of times and embrace the transformative grace we experience as children of God in His kingdom of celebration. An eight week study that explores the character of God examine the through the His names. We will examine the names for the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and discover the impact of God's names have on our relationship with Him.

Improve your physical heart and spiritual heart. Join us for a prayer and praise walk. This is for any physical or spiritual condition. Walking will be at your own pace. After a brief devotional using "31 Days of Praise" as our guide, we will walk around the campus at Lakewood praising the Lord and praying for our church, our family and friends, our community, and any needs the Lord brings to mind. It will be a great time as we worship and pray together. Strollers welcome.
