Refuge: Lakewood Women’s Gathering
Refuge is an event for Women to gather together for fellowship and worship.
“But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you.”
Psalm 5:11
Join us for Refuge as we kick off the fall semester. This will be a sweet night of worship and testimonies as we hear Becky Corder, Christy Gaddis, and Kathy Hunt share about times they have encountered God through one of His names, revealing more of His character. Arrival begins at 6:30PM where you can fellowship over refreshments. Programming will begin at 7:00PM.
This Refuge we will support our own Girl’s Ministry here at Lakewood. Girls Ministry at Lakewood is on a mission to make disciples who make disciples with a desire to see middle school and high school girls develop a genuine, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, grow deeply in their faith, and actively invest their lives back into the local church. Lakewood students annual Girls Retreat will be held the following weekend and we want our Lakewood women to bless them during their time away.
You can help support Lakewood’s girls in the following ways:
- Bring in Bible study essentials (pens, highlighters, tabs, sticky notes, and more) to support students at Girls Retreat and throughout the year.
- Take a prayer bookmark with the name of a Girls Retreat attendee and commit to praying for her throughout the weekend.
- Note card supplies will be available at Refuge for you to write a note of prayer and encouragement for a retreat attendee and will be delivered to her during the retreat.

Childcare: Childcare is limited and offered on a first come first serve basis. If you are a solo mom that night and in need of childcare, it will be available but you must request it by Thursday, August 20th.
Cost and Registration: There is no cost for this event but please register as it will help us with planning purposes.
