In prayer we are raising up disciples of Christ that know His purposes and see His power.
ABOUT
What our Prayer Ministry is all about.

Why is Prayer Ministry important to Lakewood
At Lakewood we believe that prayer is the way that we fellowship with God and also how He ministers to us. We want to model, teach, equip, and bring comfort to our church body in prayer and through prayer. We believe what James 5:16 teaches which says that the prayers of the righteous are powerful and effective and that when we confess and pray for one another that healing can begin. Jesus modeled for us the importance of prayer in times alone with the Father and also taught His disciples how to pray for those in need. We desire to live in this way as Jesus taught us.
SERVE
Ways to serve our church and community through prayer.

Sunday Morning Prayer Team
11am | Worship Center
Each week at the 11am Real Life service, we have prayer team members available to pray with those from the service that need prayer and to pray for our church and our worship services.

GROW
Here are some current ways that you can grow and learn more about prayer.

21 Days of Prayer
January/August (Yearly)
Two times each church year we set aside 21 days to devote to church wide prayer. In January and August we have a church wide emphasis on prayer. Each person receives a calendar to follow along and participate in praying for our church and one another. During that 21 days we also meet weekly to pray together over the needs of our church family. Join us as we devote the beginning of each calendar year and church year to the Lord in prayer.
