High School Spring Break Mission Trip

Mission
On April 4-11 2020, our team will go on a mission trip to serve in Orlando, FL. With tens of millions of people flocking to Disney World each year, it’s easy to overlook that the city of Orlando is not a perfect utopia like the Disney resort. Like other major U.S. cities, Orlando is marked by poverty issues (including a significant demographic of children under the age of 18) and homelessness. Servant Life and Serve Orlando work with short-term mission teams throughout the year to meet the needs of the community through showing the love of Christ by actions and sharing the hope of the gospel with those who need. We’ll be serving with multiple ministry sites throughout the week to show and share the love of Christ in practical ways. The types of ministries where we’ll serve are as follows: soup kitchens and food pantries, food/clothing distribution centers, local church outreach, nursing homes, children’s clubs, donation processing and sorting, community cleanup/landscaping, school projects, community gardens, supply packing, habitat for Humanity, organize groceries, poverty and homeless ministry.
