Kids Cove Resources
This year, we will provide VBS activities for preschool and grade school children all summer long! Our VBS experience will consist of three components:
Parents! As always, we want to come along side you as you lead your children to grow in Christ. Over the next few weeks as we have church from home, we will provide resources for your school age children that would be similar to what they would do at church.
We will continue meeting online Sunday mornings for “Fusion Online: Summer Bible Study” at 10:30am through our YouTube Channel. Our staff team will share a brief devotion each week along with some fun and encouragement for all of our students. We encourage students to continue spending time with the Lord through our Wisdom 2020 study this summer.
In June, Middle School Students (completed 6-8th grade) are invited to come to church on Tuesdays from 12-1pm to eat lunch, hang out with friends and hear a brief devotion from one of our staff members. High School Students (completed 9-12th grade) are invited for this on Thursdays from 12-1pm. We will meet OUTSIDE in the shade under the worship center breezeway (across from The Lodge). See link below for more details on guidelines for students being able to attend these gatherings.
NOTE: We will not provide any food but students are welcome to bring a sack/fast food lunch.
On Wednesday, June 10th from 7-8:15pm, ALL our middle and high school students are invited to attend a special Fusion Night of Worship. This will take place on the lawn outside of The Lodge (by the worship center) and students can bring a chair/blanket. The same guidelines above will apply to this gathering.
We will be providing a FREE box dinner for any student who RSVP’s by June 9. The box meal will include a Chick-fil-A sandwich, chips, cookie, and water. If you would like something different feel free to bring something with you or eat before you come.
Gather Groups for young adults are continuing to meet during these days of social distancing. If you are in a group, your leader will be in touch about the details for your particular group. If you are looking for community and would like to find a group, contact us! You can also follow Gather Young Adults on Instagram.

We are excited to announce a new weekly online Bible Study taught by Dr. Tyler Smiley and other Lakewood Staff. Join Dr. Tyler Tuesdays at noon on Lakewood’s YouTube Channel for this study the examines “What is the Gospel?” If you can’t watch at noon, it will continue to be available later.
This summer we will take a look at the name “The Body of Christ” given to the Church in Scripture to see what the purpose, roles and responsibilities are of the Church and what that looks like for women today.
Men, please join us this summer as we study the book of JAMES with Scott Smith. Beginning June 10, we will host an outdoor study every Wednesday from 6:15-7:30AM in the breezeway at Lakewood. This open air setting will provide plenty of room for us to gather in person while still maintaining safe distancing. There will also be an online option. Learn more and register HERE.
Join Beth Everett and other Lakewood women for a weekly Bible study. Each week will be a different topic. A teaching video and outline will be available through a Facebook group and on Wednesday nights, you will have the opportunity for discussion and fellowship through Zoom. Contact Beth Everett for more information.

We weren’t able to have our Renew Retreat this spring, but since much of the time is spent in guided solitude, it is something you could do from home. Our God knows how to restore us, to bring back what has been lost, to renew what has been worn down. Will you let Him restore your mind and heart? Spend some time alone with God today, and be restored.

Our Forever Marriage Conference took place online this year. If you missed it, we invite you and your spouse to watch the videos from the conference together. Scott & Dawn Smith and Levi & Christa Skipper were our keynote speakers. This year’s theme was INTIMACY: spiritual, emotional, and physical intimacy in marriage.
Senior Adult Resources
We aren’t created to go through extreme stress or difficulties alone, so this is a perfect time as part of God’s family to care for each other. As a Senior Adult, What is overwhelming right now that I should ask someone for help with?
If you have a specific need as a Senior Adult that can be met by someone here at church please contact Don Ormsbee, our Associate Pastor at 678 617-1219.
