Repentance Should Be Proclaimed
In Luke 24:44-49, Jesus stresses that “repentance for the forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name.” This truth transformed my faith journey. I was baptized at 7, but it wasn’t until college that I realized my faith was shallow. Genuine belief isn’t just acknowledging facts; it requires heartfelt repentance from sin. When I finally understood that to embrace Christ meant turning from my old life, I knelt in my room and cried out for salvation. As we share the gospel, we must emphasize that true faith involves both belief and repentance, guiding others to fully follow Jesus.
